SearchSleuth - Research Prototype

Following on from the Sleuth projects (MailSleuth, HierMail, SurfMachine, D-Sift, ImageSleuth, and DVDSleuth), SearchSleuth applies similar principles to online search results.

SearchSleuth is a form of automatic local analysis that takes search results (in this case from the Yahoo! search engine) and produces textual labels representing generalisation, specification and categorisation derived from the relationships between each result and its textual content.

To search, enter text (words separated by spaces) and press Enter.

Generalisations are shown above the search box (e.g.  -term) which shows the term that would be removed to make the search more general.
Specifications are shown below the search box (e.g.  +term) which shows the term that would be added to make the search more specific.
Categorisations are shown to the right of the search box (e.g.  ~[term1 term2]) which shows the terms representing the category.
The more intense the backing colour of a link, the higher its correlation with the search concept.
